To be successful in trading, the feeling of missing out of the move has to go. This feeling may come after a sizeable move or when you anticipate a move. It is a "curse" to the traders. Your most of bad trading decisions are a result of this feeling, I feel.

Let it move without you. There is no harm. It is not going to cost you a penny. So what if you did not make a penny today? This is not the job where everyday you will be paid.

Imagine yourself an owner of garment shop. There will be an occasion where no customer will come to your shop. There will be days where hundreds of them will come. You just need to wait patiently.

Your job as a trader is to come out positive at the end of the month. Even if it is just 30 to 50 points per lot per month, you can become super rich. Nifty moves double than that every day. There will be 40 to 50 such trading opportunities in a month. You just need to catch only one or two out of 50. If you lose remaining 48, it should not bother you at all, should it?

    1. Thanks Uday. Markets kept opening gap up and not move during the day. This happened several days in a row. Therefore ended up anticipating moves wrongly.

  4. Amibroker professional edition is INR 22000. You can also buy standard edition at lesser price which is slightly different in terms of features, but is sufficient for doing bar replays with historical data. You can freely find 1 minute intraday data for Nifty Futures on internet which you can load to Amibroker and use for bar replays.
